Fun And Inexpensive Ways To Celebrate Fall

Fun And Inexpensive Ways To Celebrate Fall

Well, fall has arrived. The temperatures are getting cooler, and the days are getting longer.

I am not a fan of fall. But it is what it is. We have to make the best of it. And there are a lot of things we can do to have some fall fun.

So I have made a list of fall things that I think we can all enjoy doing.

Apples are in season, so why not bake an apple pie or an apple cake. Not only will it taste yummy, but there is nothing better than the aroma of freshly baked apple desserts.

I am a fan of apple slices dipped in caramel. I know that I can have apple slices and caramel anytime.

But, I like to think it's my special fall treat.

Visit a cider mill for cider and donuts. Or maybe visit a couple of cider mills. Enjoy even more donuts and cider.

Some cider mills or apple orchards offer the opportunity to enjoy a hayride. Hayrides can be incredibly fun for the kids. And many adults will enjoy it also.

Pick out a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch to carve for Halloween.

Rake up the leaves. No, that's not so much fun, but jumping in them would be.

Have a family get-together where everyone brings a fall food.

Cook up a big pot of chili or hearty vegetable soup

Have a Campfire and make s'mores.

Decorate for fall. Make use of the readily available gourds, pumpkins, and chrysanthemums.

Have one last picnic in the park. There is still time to enjoy picnics in the park.

Take a drive and check out the fall colors. Make sure to take some photos.

Join in the Oktoberfest fun.

If you are into all the pumpkin spice lattes, make sure to get your fill.

Make a trip to an apple orchard to pick apples. Maybe even try making applesauce.

Use the apples you picked at the orchard to make caramel apples—lots of juicy sweet deliciousness.

Get cozy in a chair with a good book and a warm blanket. Add in some hot cider or hot chocolate, and you might have a perfect fall day.

Get yourself lost in a corn maze. Have you ever wondered if you would ever find your way out of the maze? I am just asking for a friend.

It is getting to the season of scary movies. Have a scary movie marathon.

Start planning for Halloween costumes and parties.

See, there are a lot of things we can do during the fall season. And we don't have to spend a lot of money to have fun.

What are some of your favorite things to do?
