I Am A Creature Of Habit

A Little Change Can Be Good

It hit me today that most days are just like the days before. My routines and habits are so ingrained that everything I do is a repeat of yesterday and the day before? Seriously, I pretty much go to bed at the same time every night and get up at the same time every morning. I could probably go through my day blindfolded. But I would likely make a terrible mess of my morning coffee. But my life is just so routine. How did that happen? But then, again, I guess it's no surprise. Most of us have our daily habits But maybe, I need to shake things up a bit. It's something to think about, that's for sure. Same old same old or shake it up and change it all around? That's the question. If I go with shaking things up a bit, do I want big significant changes or a few little changes? Do I want to put forth the effort that would be needed to change my routine completely? I am not sure about that. I have been following this current routine of mine for a lot of years. And for the most part, it works for me. And changing one's daily habits is not an easy thing to do. I think the solution for me is to change things up in a small way. Once, in a while, get up a little later. Add something new to my breakfast menu. Maybe add something new to my old comfortable daily routine. I have already started staying up one hour later. That is a change to my routine. I get up early, so I always go to be early, which makes sense. But lately, I am waking up a bit too early. So, staying up an hour later seems to be helping. So, I am happy with the one little change that I have made so far. Writing this post has made me see that I need some little changes to my routine. Nothing drastic. Just a few tweaks here and there. Anyone else a creature of habit? Have you made any changes to shake things up just a little? I think if we make some changes now and then to our routine, it can only help us. If we make the right changes, we can improve our daily life. Who doesn't want to improve themselves and make life better? I am considering trying some new hair care products and adding in more exercise throughout the day. Lots of little ways we can change things in our daily lives. I usually watch Forensic Files and other true crime shows. But lately, I have been watching the Hallmark Channel now and then. Truthfully, it is a nice change. Have you made changes to your life? Did the changes work out for you? Any pros and cons to the changes?
