Let's Get Positive. Ditch The Negativity!

"Beautiful things happen when you distance yourself from negativity."

My word for the year is 'positive.' And that's my goal for the year. We can always find plenty of negativity around us. But I am going for more positivity in 2021. I plan to do my best to change any negative thought or situation into a positive one. I know it will be challenging, but that's what makes life interesting. It is good to challenge ourselves.

So how does one keep themselves in a positive frame of mind? Well, it takes work and commitment.

Below are some suggestions for staying positive-

Remind yourself of the all-good positive things in your life. Take note of the positive things that happen during your day.

Spend time with positive people. Let's face it if you're always around negative people; it's not going to be easy to maintain a positive attitude.

Sometimes you need to stay away from the news channels and social media. They are full of negativity unless you follow only positive funny and uplifting people and groups. And if you do follow uplifting groups, head on over to those groups when you need a positive push.

When you find yourself in a negative situation, take a deep breath, and work on spinning that negative into a positive. Take a minute and think about what you can do to make the situation better. Sure, sometimes, you have to be creative.

Keep a sense of humor at all times. I seem to have the ability to find humor in everything. And sometimes that is not exactly a good thing. But at times, a little humor can very important.

Talk to yourself. You know that little voice in our heads. Explain to yourself that you are going to have a good day. That voice should only utter words of encouragement. Never let that voice use a discouraging tone with you. When you are talking to yourself, always stay positive.

Get enough sleep. It's much easier to do all most anything if you are well-rested. If you are tired and cranky, you are not going to be feeling very positive.

Exercise can genuinely be the cure for many things. You feel better in general if you fit in some time for exercise. You are doing something good for yourself.

"Stay Positive! The only difference between a good day and a bad day is your attitude."

"Maintain focus on ALL that is good in your life. Worry less about all of the things going wrong...

And think more about ALL of the things going right."
