Making The Most Of Your Day

Life is short. Make the most of each day.

"A man who dares to waste one hour of time has not discovered the value of life." Charles Darwin

I am sure we all have days when we get to the end of the day and realize we didn't accomplish much. You can't believe the day is over, and you can't think of one thing you can point to as an accomplishment or even an experience that left you feeling good.

Now, as we all know, life is short, and we should make every day count.

It's not always easy to have a good day. At times things are just out of our control. We have to learn to accept that. But we should always look for something good in each day. And it's there, but sometimes it's not easy to see. It's not in plain view. But keep looking, it's there.

How to make the most of your day-

A positive attitude always helps. Don't start your day with a lousy attitude thinking the worst.

Have some fun. Spread a little sunshine. A sense of humor can be a great thing. And it's been said that laughter is the best medicine.

Do something for someone else. Yep, some act of kindness or a compliment will not only make someone else's day, but it will make you feel terrific about yourself.

If you have a to-do list, don't overload it. Be realistic about what you can accomplish. Prioritize and do the essential things on the list.

If your day is not going well, do something about it. Take a good look at what is not going so well and determine if there is something you can do to make it better. If you can't make it better, suck it up and move on. Please don't dwell on it and make your day even worse.

Always try to look for the silver lining in your day.

Sometimes I keep track of everything I have done during the day, so I can look back at the end of the day and see that yes, I did accomplish something. Maybe not much, but something. If you keep track of all the little things you do during the day, you may realize that your day was pretty damn good after all.

If you made a good memory during the day, my opinion is you made the most of your day. The good memories stay with us and make us smile days, weeks, and even years later.

Maybe you just thought of a happy time you had in the past. Did it put a smile on your face?

If you laughed and enjoyed time with friends or coworkers, your day was good. Nothing better than sharing smiles and laughter with friends.

"Don't waste your time in anger, regrets, worries, and grudges. Life is too Short to be unhappy."

Roy T. Bennett

As I said earlier, life is short. So don't waste your day. Make the very most of it.

Replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts.

Make lots of happy memories.

Laugh loud and often

Don't take life too seriously.

Let go of the past

Do what makes you happy.

Surround yourself with family.

Spend time with people that make you happy and make you laugh. Stay away from negative people.

Do your best to enjoy the hell out of life. We only get one chance, so let's do it right!

"You can find something truly important in an ordinary minute." Mitch Albom
