My Ramblings On Being Consistent
Striving For Consistency
I confess I am a very inconsistent person. But I am working on it. I ask myself over and over why I am so inconsistent. And it is hard to come up with an answer. Lazy, not focused? There are probably many reasons why.
I have lost count of how times I have started again, made a plan, and then...well, that didn't last long.
There are so many things I want to accomplish. So many goals I have set for myself.
What is needed to be consistent and achieve goals is to create the necessary habits. These habits have to become part of a daily routine.
Start slow—one new habit at a time. Once that habit has become a part of your routine, add another habit.
If you want to find consistency, you have to be persistent in finding it.
Don't listen to that little voice that always wants to tell you, 'you can't do it.' You can do it! Never give up.
Start with a positive mindset and get busy crushing those daily goals and dreams.
Have a good morning routine. Coffee, a good healthy breakfast, and a morning stroll are great ways to start your day.
Let go of your failures. No one is perfect.
Set your goals and put your focus on one goal at a time.
Set a schedule for yourself.
Define your definition of consistency.
Write it down immediately. Chances are you won't remember that great idea later.
Sometimes we have to remind ourselves why we started.
Surround yourself with positive, energized people.
Celebrate each small victory.
Visualize how you want things to be.
Keep reminding yourself that you can and will become consistent and productive.
