Simple Ways To Enjoy Life More



Life is short; we need to enjoy every second of it. And the first step to enjoying life is to take the time to focus on enjoying life. Remember, there is more to life than getting up, going to work, rushing home to prepare dinner, and then tossing in a load of laundry. And then repeat the next day and the next day. Stop!


Putting yourself first should be one of your top priorities.


Relaxation-Take the time to relax every day. Settle down with a good book. Just enjoy the quiet with a glass of wine. Whatever helps you relax, please do it!



Take the time to relax.

Find something good in each day-At the end of the day, think about the good things that occurred. Sure, some days, it may be hard to come up with something. But you woke up. Is the sun shining? It's the little things that count. So pay attention to those little things.

Limit your time on social media- Social media can be an excellent way to connect with friends and family. But reading all the negative news and political posts doesn't make your life any better. It just creates stress.




Beware of too much social media.

Make your own rules- Two rules to start with- thinking for yourself and listening to yourself. It's your life and your rules.

Make a list of things in your life that create stress and unhappiness-Then take a look at the list and start thinking of ways to lessen or do away with those things. It might take some time, but it will be worth it.

Take the time to enjoy the good things in your life- Things like time with family, knowing that you are loved, laughing with a friend about something silly. There is always a lot of good to find in our day to day lives.



Laughter can be the best medicine.


Set boundaries-Learn to say no. And quit letting people take advantage of you.


Stop complaining-When was the last time your complaining accomplished anything? As a general rule, complaining is usually a waste of time and energy. Make better use of your time and energy.


Challenge yourself-Keep learning. Take a class or start a new hobby. Step out of your comfort zone a bit. Explore new things.


Never compare yourself to others- no good ever comes from comparing yourself to someone else. We all have our unique ways and talents. Instead of comparing yourself to someone else, just work at being the best you can be. Do you want to be a carbon copy of someone else? The answer should be no! Be what you want to be.
