The End Of 2020 And The Beginning Of A New Year

The year 2020 will soon be ending. And most of us are not one bit sad to see it go. 2020 was a year that no one could have ever imagined. I mean, seriously, did you ever think we would see the day we would be wearing masks to go to the grocery store? Or social distancing from friends and family. I still can't believe it. It certainly hasn't been what anyone could call a fun year. But truthfully, there have been some fun moments too. Maybe not many. But a few here and there. We have had to make the best of many situations throughout the year.

If nothing else, we have learned how strong we are. We have discovered what is important to us and the many things in our life we have to be grateful for. So 2020 taught us a few things about ourselves.

It will be interesting to see what 2021 will bring us. After 2020 I don't want to set my expectations too high for 2021. But I am hoping for a much better new year. It shouldn't take much, right? Since we don't know what to expect in the new year and can't control most of what will happen in the new year, it's up to us. It up to each of us to start our year off on a positive note. Set a few goals and stay focused on them. Maintain a positive attitude. Look for the good in everything and enjoy all the little moments that make us smile.

I hope everyone had a delightful Christmas holiday and you made some great memories with family.

As much as I enjoy the food and the gifts, it really is all about spending time with family. The food and gifts are just a little added bonus. And making those memories, well that is priceless.

Happy New Year!
