Make Your Life Easier With A Morning Routine

Making Your life easier with a morning routine

Do you have a daily routine? A morning routine? Or maybe an evening routine. If you don't have a routine, you might want to give it a try. There are many benefits to having routines.

I am someone, who does not like to be rushed in the morning. I have always wanted to take my time getting myself ready in the morning. Have that extra cup of coffee or do some exercise.

Face it, getting up and rushing to get yourself out of the door is not a good beginning to your day.

At some point, I realized that with getting up early as I do at 5:30, I should be accomplishing so much more. Drinking a couple of cups of coffee is not what I would consider an accomplishment — a necessity for sure but an accomplishment no.

So while I was off to an excellent start to my day by getting up early, I needed to add to my morning routine.

I am a list maker, so I thought why not take a couple of things from my to-do list and add them to my morning routine. So, I did that. I chose three things from my to-do list that would make a positive difference in my day. So, I do a quick clean up in the bathroom, put in a load of laundry, and do a quick wipe down in the kitchen.

My morning routine looks like this:

Get up at 5:30

Drink some water

Plan my day

Coffee

Put in a load of laundry if needed. That way I don’t have to do it later.

Hopefully some stretching and exercise. Still a work in progress

Shower

Get dressed for the day. Even I am not going to leave the house. If I don’t get dressed complete with shoes, and make-up I feel lazy.

Breakfast which will consist of yogurt and cereal.

Quick clean up in the bathroom. Another thing, I won’t have to do later.

Make sure the kitchen is presentable with counters and appliances wiped down.

A morning routine can make for a great start to your day!
