As life goes on, we get older, and we start thinking about all the things we wanted to accomplish. Goals we had set for yourselves, dreams we had of what we wanted to do with our life. And now we look back and think 'what happened?'
As we get older, we start to think we're too old to accomplish our goals and dreams. Too old? If you are alive and still kicking, stop using your age as an excuse.
It's not too late. No rule says we can't still do the things we want.
How many times have you heard someone say 'I wish I had done that when I was younger.' So why can't you do it now? If you could do it when you were 30, or 40, or even 50, You can still do it at 60 or 70, and beyond. You know the saying, age is only a number. Don't let your age define you. You still have time to do those things you wish you had done. And you probably have more time to do them now.
Now is the time to do the things that matter to you. It's your life, and you still have time to accomplish the items you want to achieve. Time is wasting, so get moving. Stop thinking and start doing.
Don't make excuses why you can't. Make plans for how you will do it.
Don't listen to anyone who tries to tell you are too old. Instead, show the naysayers how wrong they are about you being too old.
Maybe you can be an inspiration to those who think getting older means sitting in a rocking chair. Show them what you can accomplish once you set your mind to it and quit dwelling on your age.
In case you are not convinced that you are not too old. There have been many famous and successful people who had the most significant achievements when they were up there in age.
Actress Judi Dench was in her '60s when her acting career took off.
Harlan Sanders of Kentucky Fried Chicken was 62 when he franchised Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Artist Grandma Moses began seriously painting at the age of 78.
Vera Wang was 40 when she quit writing about fashion and started designing.
Remember when you were a kid, you couldn't wait to reach adult status. Do you sometimes wish you could be that kid again? Nothing is stopping you from doing the fun little things you did as a kid.
It's never too late, and you're not too old-
