As we age, we should not feel there is little left to look forward to. Life has changed somewhat. That's a fact. But there are always things to look forward to. Many are the same things those younger folks look forward to. And many are things we always looked forward to when we were younger. Some things don't change.

One of the things older folks have to look forward to is that list of things you never had time to do when you were younger because you were raising a family and working. Get that list out and start doing those things you never had time for. Start checking them off.

Older folks can look forward to a new feeling of independence. Remember that feeling when we graduated High School and turned 18 years old? We can feel that again. No work. We are free to do what we want.

Older people can look forward to less drama. The older we get, the less time we have for unnecessary drama. We have learned to avoid the things and people that annoy us or don't like.

You still have the time with family and friends to look forward to. Even more time now. You now have the time to plan and host more get-togethers with your family and friends. And you always have the option to suggest to your younger family members that they plan some family events.

Older folks can look forward to a slower pace if they so desire. They are retired and can do things at their own pace. Get up when they want and go to bed when they want.

Older people can look forward to worrying less about what others think about them. The older we get, the less we worry about that. When we are young, we spend much time worrying about what others think about us.

Older people can enjoy being a little crazy or weird. It's part of that whole not worrying about what others think.

Many Seniors look forward to traveling, seeing new places, and experiencing new things.

Seniors can share their knowledge and wisdom with the younger generation. It is a beautiful gift to give to the younger generation.

"I believe the second half of one's life is meant to be better than the first half. The first half is finding out how you do it. And the second half is enjoying it." ~Frances Lear
